We are Australia's largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. Our Ashton Coal Operations include an underground mine and coal handling and preparation plant, located in Camberwell. The site operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesWe are currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join Ashton's Mobile Maintenance Workshop. Reporting to the Mobile Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
Execution of planned maintenance and breakdown repairsProviding support and supervision to mobile maintenance teamSupport the Mobile Fleet Maintenance Supervisor by performing administrational and supervisory tasks as required including leave coverageOperate equipment as required to support the operational needs of the businessSkills and ExperienceTo be successful in securing this role, you will possess the following:
Mechanical Trade Qualification (essential)Minimum 3 years' experience in the mining or heavy industry in a similar rolePrevious supervisory experience in a production or maintenance environment (essential)Previous experience working with surface mobile equipment specifically haul trucks, dozers, loaders and light vehicles (essential)Ability to effectively problem solve and diagnose machine faults/breakdownsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSAP and OEM parts interpretation experience (advantageous)Safety conscious with a can-do attitudeBenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration packages for our roles, including:
