We are currently seeking an experiencedCHPP Mechanical Supervisorto join our Wilpinjong mine site on a Monday to Friday roster.
Our Wilpinjong mine is a low strip ratio open-cut mine located 58 kilometres northeast of the historic andcountry charmof thetown of Mudgee, producing a high quality thermal coal for export with long term contracts for the domestic market. Wilpinjong is a multi-seam operation utilising truck / excavator and dozer push methods and currently producing 12 - 14mtpa of coal.
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent, you will safely and efficiently lead the CHPP Maintenance crews to meet plant targets in line with production schedules.
About the role: Responsibilities will include:
Ensuring that employees are adequately instructed and complying with all safety procedures and systems, HR policies and procedures, relevant statutory legislation Regularly inspecting workplace for safe work practices and environment and actively promoting mine safety among the workforce Manage the crew for the delivery of plant maintenance Manage breakdowns and planned maintenance Ensure that CHPP safety and production targets are met Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve cost reductions and efficiency gains Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the CHPP Identifying workplace issues and resolving them in a timely manner. Promoting a team culture of continuous improvement and innovation, including cost saving initiatives About you: Critical to your success will be: Strong commitment to safety Minimum 5 years' experience in the maintenance of a coal (or similar) minerals processing plant Relevant competencies and Tertiary Qualifications Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and an understanding of key drivers of a CHPP Uncompromising commitment to safety The lifestyle
