We are currently seeking an experienced CHPP Mechanical Supervisor to join our Wilpinjong mine site on a Monday to Friday roster.Our Wilpinjong mine is a low strip ratio open-cut mine located 58 kilometres northeast of the historic andcountry charmof thetown of Mudgee, producing a high quality thermal coal for export with long term contracts for the domestic market. Wilpinjong is a multi-seam operation utilising truck / excavator and dozer push methods and currently producing 12 - 14mtpa of coal.Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent , you will safely and efficiently lead the CHPP Maintenance crews to meet plant targets in line with production schedules.About the role:Responsibilities will include:Ensuring that employees are adequately instructed and complying with all safety procedures and systems, HR policies and procedures, relevant statutory legislationRegularly inspecting workplace for safe work practices and environment and actively promoting mine safety among the workforceManage the crew for the delivery of plant maintenanceManage breakdowns and planned maintenanceEnsure that CHPP safety and production targets are metWork collaboratively with other departments to achieve cost reductions and efficiency gainsMaintain cleanliness of all areas of the CHPPIdentifying workplace issues and resolving them in a timely manner.Promoting a team culture of continuous improvement and innovation, including cost saving initiativesAbout you:Critical to your success will be:Strong commitment to safetyMinimum 5 years' experience in the maintenance of a coal (or similar) minerals processing plantRelevant competencies and Tertiary QualificationsStrong knowledge of maintenance practices and an understanding of key drivers of a CHPPUncompromising commitment to safetyThe lifestyleThis position is offered onMonday to Friday roster,which really lets you take advantage from a residential lifestyle in nearby Mudgee district.Nestled between rolling hills, Mudgee blends the old with the new, the rural with the cosmopolitan, and the laid-back with the adventurous.
