Mining - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy) Position: CHPP Maintenance Superintendent
Location: Clermont Open Cut, Clermont, QLD
Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced CHPP Maintenance Superintendent to join our high performing CHPP team onsite. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum.
The role, which reports to the CHPP Manager, will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.
In this role you will be responsible for: Leading the CHPP Maintenance team to safely deliver and execute the maintenance strategy onsite Developing and mentoring Supervisors and Employees to build capacity within your team Managing the execution of planned Coal Plant maintenance activities to ensure both the weekly production and maintenance plans are achieved while ensuring that equipment operating hours are maximised and production losses minimised Developing solutions to improve the safety and reliability of equipment on site Understanding the work management process and working within the guidelines and expectations to achieve the weekly planned and breakdown schedule Ensuring all equipment is consistently operating at its optimal capacity with all failures investigated and actions implemented to mitigate future occurrences Maintaining and delivering on Maintenance budget Providing visible leadership, advice and support in relevant function or process area About you: Tertiary and / or Trade Qualifications will be highly regarded Minimum 10+ years in supervisory roles within a Coal Handling Processing Plant Demonstrated experience in leading a team to deliver high performance outcomes safely G1, G2, G3, G8, G9 competencies advantageous Strong communication skills (both written and oral) SAP and Xeras experience is desirable This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practice using a hands-on approach.
