Chinese Teacher

Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana and Lochend, and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.

Applications are invited from innovative Chinese teachers for a temporary part-time (0.7 FTE) position at our St Kilda Road Campus. This is a 12 month leave replacement position, commencing in 2025.

The position requires an experienced and proficient teacher across the Years 5-9. Demonstrated competence with technology and ICT to enhance the educational program is strongly desirable and Middle Years Programme (MYP) experience in a similar setting would be well regarded.

Applicants must be able to teach first language Chinese literature.

Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching is essential for this position. Candidates who do not hold registration will not be considered. Applications close at 5.00pm on Thursday 19th 2024.
