Roper Gulf Regional Council is currently seeking a suitably qualified and highly experienced professional for the position of Children Services Coordinator based in Katherine, NT. The Children Services Coordinator is responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support to the children services programs such as Crèche, School Nutrition Projects (SNP) and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in a courteous and professional manner and provide leadership and operational management for the OSHC program to ensure contractual compliance and quality outcomes for the children and all stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualification equivalent to Diploma Early Childcare Educator and Care, Cert III Community Services, and/or knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training.Proficient in the operation of various computer packages and software programs, in particular MS Office Suite, data collection and entry, and developing and maintaining spreadsheets.Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to plan at an operational level and coordinate resources effectively while monitoring the goals, targets, outcomes and objectives of the team, and individual employees.Demonstrated interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and are aware of the issues affecting people in remote Indigenous communities.Knowledge of Food Safety, Workplace Health and Safety Regulations within the Children Services.By taking on this pivotal role, you will be rewarded with an attractive salary ranging from $94,306.67 to $103,764.67 per annum (negotiated based on qualifications and experience) plus superannuation. This is a full-time, one-year fixed term position based in Katherine.
