Children and Youth Minister – Good Shepherd Anglican ChurchWednesday, July 31 2024About the RoleWe are looking for a committed Christian to join our staff team in 2024 and oversee our children and youth ministry.
This is currently a full-time paid ministry position.
There is scope to make it part-time where there would be a focus on children's ministry (up to Year 5).Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic oversight, program design, and effective implementation of our Sunday Kid's Church, including training and support of volunteer leaders.Strategic oversight of Wednesday morning playgroup and collaboration with parent volunteer leaders for design and implementing program.Strategic oversight, program design, and effective implementation of youth ministry, including training and support of volunteer leaders.Pastoral care for children and youth where needed.Continuous improvement and review of programs and events across children and youth ministry at Good Shepherd.Consideration given to the development of new ministries that seek to connect with youth in our local community.Assist in overall strategic planning for the Good Shepherd and the implementation of our mission, goals and values.About Good Shepherd Anglican Church, CurtinGood Shepherd is a growing, medium size Anglican Church located in the geographical centre of Canberra.
We currently have a membership of around 100 children and youth, of whom around a third are under 8 years old.
