The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Strategic Contracts Officer to join the Procurement and Contracting team on a full-time ongoing basis.
The role is responsible for:
Initiating, planning and delivering significant strategic contract procurement programs, projects and services to influence and guide agency policy, operations and service delivery.
Providing strategic leadership and expertise for the development, implementation and review of DCP's procurement and contract formation and reform processes.
Managing the identification and implementation of strategies and initiatives to support the creation of strategic value-for-money opportunities.
Providing expert consultation to senior management and key stakeholders regarding complex contracting and procurement issues, policies and systems.
About You
We are seeking a resourceful individual experienced in managing complex and strategic procurements, leading negotiations and developing contracts.
To be successful you will have a strong ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with sensitivity and diplomacy at all levels.
Keen analysis and research skills will allow you to develop and implement practical solutions for critical issues.
You will have significant experience in the end-to-end management of strategic and complex government procurement and contract management.
