The Role
This is a great opportunity for Educators new to the Early Childhood Education and Care sector to receive on-the-job training in fantastic Montessori learning environments. Our campuses have approachable and supportive Centre Managers, a great team environment, amazing development and training opportunities, and beautiful facilities inside and out! The successful applicant will have a passion for early childhood education, be willing to learn, and be a team player.
Key Competencies:
Current Working with Children Check Food Handler's Certificate Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards (desired but not essential) First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one Be available for shifts between 8:30am and 3:00pm Monday to Friday Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment Strong understanding of the importance of family communications Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard Understanding of the Montessori Philosophy Commitment to the holistic development of their class Responsibilities:
Food preparation for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon snack Safe food handling for allergic/anaphylactic children Meal plating and service and taking to classrooms Kitchen cleaning and dishwashing Cleaning of office, staffroom, foyer and other areas if needed Cutting of varied meats Food safety and hygiene procedures Positively promote and market the centre to families and the community Be an advocate of the Montessori Method to parents and potential clients Respect and support colleagues by developing positive and ethical channels of communication that are based on principles of mutual respect, equity and fairness Attend meetings as requested Become familiar with Montessori Academy Policies and Procedures Benefits for the Right Candidate:
