Centre Overview: Our Nightcliff centre is a place where children aged from six weeks to six years can make a positive start to a life of learning, development, growth, and opportunity. Our purpose-built centre is located at Progress Drive, Nightcliff, an inner-city suburb of Darwin.

As our Educational Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping positive outcomes for children and families. Your leadership will inspire, motivate, and enhance the practice and pedagogy of our educators through inquiry, reflection, and continuous professional development. You'll be instrumental in embedding our values into everyday practice and supporting a culture of excellence.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include: Bringing Journey's values—connection, communication, and consideration—to life in daily practice. Upholding Journey's child-safe policies and code of conduct. Ensuring team members understand and adhere to Journey Standards. Developing and monitoring individual and group coaching plans. Overseeing and approving centre Storypark posts. Contributing to the development of the Centre's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). Role modeling and reflecting on agreed practices. Engaging with families and the community. Supporting and conducting professional conversations. Being an active member of the Centre Leadership Team. Leading and participating in Lead Educator meetings. Who are you? You are an experienced leader within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector with a strong understanding of compliance, team leadership, and demonstrating exceeding levels of practice.
Key skills and requirements: ACECQA Approved Diploma in Children's Services or bachelor's degree (Early Education) or working towards. Current Working with Children Check. A demonstrated commitment to providing a safe, caring, non-judgemental and supportive environment for all children and their families. A demonstrated ability to adhere to and understand the ECA code of Ethics and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours while engaging with children.
