Your new centre:
The modern, purpose-built facilities set the scene for inspired learning every day. The children and educators have access to a range of resources that will support the children to develop their cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills.
Outdoors, the space is bright and colourful, offering something new for the children to explore at every turn. They can play in the sandpit, ride their bikes around the track, use the soft play equipment or engage in creative activities.
Your new role:
Cook and prepare nutritious meals for children
Flexible food budget that allows you to create meals and menus according to nutritional guidelines and seasonal produce with ongoing support from the centre manager
The ideal candidate would work in the kitchen Monday to Friday, hours can be flexible to promote work/life balance
Uphold cleanliness standards and ensure the kitchen operates within the food safety license, NQS and governing regulations
Follow and complete food safety documents required for the Food Safety Plan
Sound knowledge and understanding of food allergies and dietary requirements
Responsible for ordering all supplies required through local suppliers
Invited to plan cooking experiences for children and be a consistent valued member both within the team and by the children and families

What YOU need:
Safe food handling certificate
Cert III or Diploma in Commercial Cookery
Relevant working with children checks
Previous experience running a kitchen, cooking in a childcare, nursing home, school canteen or similar catering environment - highly advantageous
