Child Wellbeing Unit Aboriginal Consultant Officer Service Delivery Directorate
About the role As a CWU Assessment Officer, you will be joining a team of Child Protection and Wellbeing experts who conduct Child Protection and Wellbeing risk appraisals as well as assist and advise NSW Health workers to respond to vulnerable children, young people and families they come into contact with during their work. The Child Wellbeing Unit aims to support families early to prevent escalation into the statutory system.
The Western Child Wellbeing Unit receives telephone calls and e-reports from health workers in the geographical area of the local health districts of Western Sydney, Southwestern Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains, Sydney across the LGAs of Burwood and Canterbury, Western NSW and Far West, as well as staff from The Children's Hospital Westmead.
The Western Child Wellbeing Unit is located in Dubbo's CBD.
