Role DescriptionThe psychologist is responsible for providing psychological assessment and therapeutic services to Aboriginal children aged between 0-12 and their families to optimise the child's mental health.
The position works within a multidisciplinary team to support children with suspected or emerging mental illness or behavioural disorders including early assessment, therapy, management, and family support to limit the severity and progression of mental health challenges.
To Be Considered For This Position, You Will Require:Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Eligibility to apply for a Medicare Provider Number and bill for services renderedDemonstrated experience in providing psychological support to children, particularly those aged 0-12 years, with a strong understanding of child developmentExcellent communication skills and the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environmentCurrent Drivers Licence.For more information on the position please contact Senior Manager, Head to Health Kids, Tahlia Lee on 0492 430 731.
