Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS) is seeking a dedicated Child Health Nurse to join our team, where you'll play a crucial role in enhancing health outcomes for children and families in the stunning Kutjungka Region.

Your RoleAs a Child Health Nurse, you will coordinate and deliver essential child health services, engaging with local communities to ensure we meet their unique health needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting regular health checks for children aged 0 to 5 years, while ensuring adherence to immunisation schedules.Managing cases of children at risk and facilitating referrals to specialists as needed.Collaborating with stakeholders to identify service gaps and develop actionable strategies.Contributing to health promotion initiatives and training programs for community members and healthcare providers.Collecting and analysing health data to inform service delivery and improvements.Mentoring and supporting staff involved in child health services.Who We Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate will possess:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and postgraduate qualifications in Child Health.Experience in maternal and child health services within a Primary Health Care setting.An understanding of the KAMS Model of Care and the health challenges faced by Aboriginal communities.Strong communication skills and the capability to facilitate educational sessions.A current WA driver's licence, Working with Children's Check, and National Police Clearance.A willingness to travel frequently to remote communities, including overnight stays.Why Join Us?This position offers a competitive annual salary of $120,292 per annum pro rata, along with a $10,000 retention allowance after two years of continuous service.
Additional benefits include:
