Details of the offer

EFSC's Childcare Center Management certificate program consists of courses with a focus on leadership, administration, educational programming, and the financial issues associated with managing a quality childcare program or daycare center. It's a great choice if you're interested in becoming a full-time administrator or in holding a management role while also teaching part-time.
This certificate will prepare you to:
Enter the workforce in a leadership role, such as a preschool director, licensed daycare owner, program coordinator, childcare director, or curriculum coordinator.Earn state-approved, professional certification to enhance your existing career when using the certificate courses as part of Director Credential training.Move on to the Early Childhood Education A.S. degree, which includes this certificate's courses. The Childcare Center Management certificate includes a total of four courses that require a combination of theoretical and practical study. You may also be eligible to earn transfer credit toward your certificate through existing childcare-related credentials or courses completed at a Brevard County public high school, so check with the program advisor to explore those options.
Childcare Center Management Admissions InformationThe Childcare Center Management certificate is an open-access program with rolling admissions. No placement testing is required! You can submit your application via Eastern Florida's standard enrollment process. Contact the EFSC program advisor for help with enrollment questions. You can also contact the program's manager Kelly Shaver, Associate Professor, at or 321-433-5728.
Background screening and fingerprinting is a Florida Department of Children and Families requirement for working and obtaining licensure in this field. How Much Does the Childcare Center Management Program Cost?In-state tuition for this program is approximately $1,250 (plus additional fees for labs and course materials). While this program is not eligible for federal financial aid due to its program length, students can use Florida Bright Futures Scholarships, Florida Prepaid, or the Nelnet Payment Plan toward the tuition and can also apply for Veterans Educational Benefits, Titan Scholarships, and outside scholarships such as the T.E.A.C.H.
