Child and Youth Support Worker - Mt GambierThe Role: Casual (Located in Mt Gambier/Limestone Coast, 5 Hours South East of Adelaide) Baptist Care SA are looking for passionate and engaging Residential Child and Youth Workers to join us working in Residential houses in Mt Gambier.
You will provide a safe and nurturing environment to children and young people under the Guardian of the Chief Executive through the Department of Child Protection.

Your duties will involve, but won't be limited to: Working within a team to meet client needsProviding support to children and young people, such as school drop offs and pickups, supporting daily activities like cooking and cleaning, assisting with homework, and enriching their lives by being a positive role model and creating a sense of homeManaging and responding to difficult and at times aggressive behaviours using trauma informed care and holistic client-centered practiceCompleting administration tasks including case notes, mandatory reporting, and handoversAbout you: We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about working within a team to support young people in meeting their needs and achieving their goals.
You'll work one-on-one with each young person, helping them develop independent living skills using a trauma-informed approach.
