Child and Youth Specialist (Psychologist/ Social Worker/OT/ Speech Pathologist Psychology, Counselling & Social Work (Healthcare & Medical) Positive Minds Australia are proud leaders in social emotional wellbeing. We prioritise connection, belonging and wellbeing and our clients are at the heart of everything we do.  Please note there are two roles available: Job Role: Child and Youth Specialists (Psychologists/ Occupational Therapists/ Speech Pathologist/ Social Workers) We are seeking passionate and dedicated Allied Health Professionals (Psychologists/ Occupational Therapists/ Speech Pathologists/ Social Workers) to join our team of Child and Youth Specialists.  The Role: Expressions of interest are now open for full-time, and part time roles for Child and Youth Specialists (Psychologist/ Occupational Therapist/ Speech Pathologist/ Social Worker) and also for Assessment Psychologists.  These roles would suit practitioners who specialise in neurodivergence, social and emotional literacy and wellbeing. Applications will open on April 10th 2024 and close on May 8th 2024. Positions start in June and July 2024. You will enjoy an exciting, creative and autonomous role, implementing tailored social emotional wellbeing sessions in our Unley rooms. You will have access to programs including, 'What's the Buzz?', 'The Resilience and Wellbeing Toolbox,' and 'The Confident Minds Curriculum' and will have opportunities to deliver these programs one on one and in small therapeutic groups.  Child and Youth Specialists also provide behaviour support tools to parents and carers and collaborate with teachers, parents and other professionals via email and telephone to support their client's best interests.  Assessment Psychologists may choose assessment only or a combination of therapy and assessment. Please request both job descriptions when you apply.  Qualifications: Graduate, Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology/ social work/ occupational therapy or speech pathology.  Valid registration as an Allied Health Professional.  Experience in neurodivergence, behaviour and social-emotional regulation is essential.  Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Empathy, compassion, and strong ethical standards. Additional Qualifications: Additional certifications or training in child development, play therapy, neurodivergence, or related fields desirable but not essential.  Experience working in early childhood education or childcare settings is desirable but not essential. An ability to provide assessment as part of your role is desirable and not essential. Familiarity with evidence-based practices for social-emotional development and behaviour support.  Competitive remuneration package based on qualifications and experience. For full time positions with 48 weeks paid salary and 4 weeks leave, $90,000 plus $10,350 superannuation. We love working together and welcome new practitioners wholeheartedly.  You will work closely with our Managing Director, Madhavi Nawana Parker who will provide you with as much mentoring and support as you need, so you can settle into your new role with confidence.  The Role:  The full-time or part-time Psychologist will join our warm, friendly and experienced multidisciplinary team, providing Psychological assessments for our clients.  As a Psychologist, you will bring your deep knowledge and rich experience from your field, into an exciting, creative and autonomous role providing Assessments to help families and schools understand our clients underlying strengths and difficulties, supporting them to lead happier, more meaningful and purposeful lives.  To support your wellbeing, you will be encouraged to provide one comprehensive assessment per day and no more than that, allowing plenty of time to write reports. For shorter assessments that require less time, you may be asked to conduct up to two per day. This will be arranged with our Managing Director in consultation with you.  If you are seeking a position that is a combination of assessment and therapeutic work, please let us know and we are keen to hear more about your preferences.  Our individual sessions run for a therapeutic hour (50 minutes) and group sessions run for 1 hour. We are a family friendly practice and there is an option to work for a 40 week year with school holidays off or a 48 week year. We understand that parents need to make arrangements for school pick up and drop off as well as attending special occasions. Our team is encouraged to manage their diaries around these important life factors and report writing and administration can be done from home to support this. Therapy occurs in our rooms, even when Telehealth is requested to allow everyone the daily opportunities for connection and belonging in our team. Provide assessments and reports for children and teenagers.  Collaborate with teachers, parents and other professionals via email and telephone to help them understand your assessment and report when necessary. Maintain accurate case notes of assessments, interventions and progress reports. Invoice clients using XERO software when administrative support is not present in our rooms. The position is full or part-time. The number of weeks worked per year is negotiable along with the corresponding salary adjustments.  You will attend quarterly meetings with our team at our Unley rooms with our multidisciplinary team and individual mentoring meetings if you wish, with our Managing Director, Madhavi Nawana Parker. Administrative responsibilities such as invoicing and calendar management will be shared with our administrative team, who will do the bulk of this work. The successful candidates will need to dedicate some time each day to this role, as our administrative assistant is not always at our rooms.  Our Director, Madhavi Nawana Parker is a widely published author of resilience, wellbeing, confidence and social emotional literacy programs implemented worldwide.
