Position SummaryA permanent, full-time opportunity based at The Orange Door for a Child and Young Person Practice Leader (CYPPL) to join our team. This position can be based at either our Shepparton Hub or our Wallan Access Point.
The CYPPL is a practice leadership position in each Support and Safety Hub (The Orange Door).
Auspiced by FamilyCare within the Goulburn Orange Door network, the CYPPL works in collaboration with the Hub Manager, other practice leaders, and team leaders to lead the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective service responses to young Victorians seeking support and services through The Orange Door.
How You'll Make a DifferenceAs part of The Orange Door, the CYPPL holds responsibility for providing expert practice leadership on engaging children and young people, assessing risk and needs for the infant, child, young person, and family, and supporting interventions for infants, children, and young people impacted by family violence and/or experiencing vulnerabilities due to other factors.
The CYPPL proactively builds the capability across The Orange Door workforce, working collaboratively to ensure that the experiences and voices of children and young people inform the service response in line with The Orange Door Service Model and Best Interests Case Practice Model.
Day-to-day duties may include: Ensuring child wellbeing and safety is at the forefront of team members.Providing specialist and advanced practice leadership and support to practitioners.Building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders.Providing expert knowledge, sound judgement, and authoritative advice on risks, priorities, accountability, and practice matters.Increasing community awareness regarding issues affecting families and available support services.Role Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have professional experience and bachelor-level qualification(s) in social work, psychology, or a related discipline (as outlined in the Mandatory Minimum Qualifications for Family Violence Practitioners, Recommendation 209).
Critical to your success in this role will also be: A strong knowledge and understanding of the drivers/causes of family violence and child and family vulnerability, as well as child and family services and/or broader social services sector.Demonstrated experience in developing interventions to reduce risk and vulnerabilities to infants, children, and young people using theoretical frameworks to underpin the approaches.Demonstrated experience in leading practice within a complex service delivery environment, particularly multidisciplinary and multi-agency approaches to the provision of services to vulnerable children, families, and diverse communities.A Rewarding Role - In More Ways Than One In addition to a competitive salary of $126,163 (+ superannuation), you will receive a range of benefits from FamilyCare, including:
