Complex Care is a Brisbane based practice that provides therapeutic support and consultancy services specifically tailored to children with complex needs and the carers/professionals who support them.
In addition to providing children and young people with counselling, Complex Care trains and supports organisations, families, and carers, to provide our community's most vulnerable children and young people with evidence based therapeutic care.
Job Description Complex Care is currently looking for new consultants to join our team, providing in-home therapeutic placement support to children on child protection orders with complex support needs.
Complex Care consultants may also provide specialist services to children receiving NDIS funding.
This may include counselling, assessment recommendation, and training or specialist behaviour support.
In addition to the above, this specialist role will involve providing intensive training and support to foster carers, parents, or a young person's care team, and will also require consultants to work in close collaboration with the Department of Communities (Child Safety) and other relevant stakeholders.
This role may also provide opportunities for consultants (with the appropriate experience base) to facilitate Family Group Meetings and facilitate Case-clinics.
This position will involve casual ongoing contract work and will allow consultants the flexibility to work from 15 hours per week, up to full time.
Consultants will be contracted at a minimum rate of $75.00 per hour (inclusive of super), and as Complex Care provides intensive support, most client visits will occur for a minimum of 2-3 hours for each visit.
Consultants will be required to invoice with their own ABN.
Whilst this is a contracted position, Complex Care invests heavily in our team and provides ongoing training and professional development opportunities and offers clinical advice, direction, and monthly supervision.
Applicants will require as a minimum – Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or related industry.
Registration as a Psychologist or Social Worker would be an advantage.Previous experience working in the Child Protection System would be an advantage.Relevant post-graduate work experience of at least 3 years, including counselling practice with children and adults with complex support needs, and a comprehensive understanding of the child protection/out of home care system.Highly developed report writing, communication, and assessment skills and confidence providing guidance and recommendations to a stakeholder group.A current Queensland Driver's License and safe/reliable vehicle.A current blue card.TravelConsultants will be required to use their own vehicle for all travel but will receive an additional minimum session fuel/travel allowance of $60 per visit for each client.
