Your part in our UnitingCare team We are currently seeking to appoint a Child and Family Case Manager to work as a part of our UnitingCare Qld Minds Alive Team at Mackay on a permanent part-time basis (45.6 hours per fortnight / 3 days per week).
This position provides both intensive long-term outreach support and/or short-term assistance for children/young people and their families where the child or young person is affected by or at risk of mental illness.
This role also provides educational workshops and seminars for different key groups including client groups to promote better outcomes for children or young people that present with mental illness and their families.
What makes a difference for us? You will have demonstrated skills and sound knowledge in working with children, young people and their families using a child-centred and family-focused approach gained through previous appointments.
You will be able to use therapeutic processes and practices particularly in relation to children and young people affected or at risk of mental illness and their families within frameworks and practices that are strength-based and recovery-focused.
In addition to the above, you will also be required to have:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant human services field and demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through substantial experience working with children and families.Current Drivers Licence.Working with Children Check (Blue Card)What makes a difference for you?
