Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is looking for a Chief Workforce Officer, based in Alice Springs.
Come join us in the beautiful Northern Territory & explore all that we have to offer!The Chief Workforce Officer is a Senior Management position that plays a key organisational role to ensure that Congress has a trained and dedicated workforce to service the needs of its community.
This position reports to the HR General Manager and leads the day-to-day operational responsibilities of the Congress Employee Relations (ER) and Recruitment teams.Who are we looking for?We are looking for an individual with experience leading an HR team who is looking to advance their career towards senior or executive management.
The ideal candidate will have university qualifications in a relevant field and strong knowledge of industrial relations and contemporary management practices.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, build rapport and manage conflict are crucial in this position, as well as an ethical approach to HR practice.
Strategic thinking with a positive attitude to problem-solving is a must.Why Central Australian Aboriginal Congress?Congress has expanded to become the largest Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation in the Northern Territory with around 500 staff (and growing).
It is one of the most experienced Aboriginal primary health care services in the country.
Congress provides a comprehensive, holistic and culturally appropriate primary healthcare service to Aboriginal people living in and nearby Alice Springs, including five remote communities.
