General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)Full timeIWC has an exciting opportunity to work within the Executive department as a Chief Strategy Officer.The Chief Strategy Officer will work in collaboration with IWC's Executive team, including the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), to ensure IWC's mission, vision, goals, and objectives are aligned with operational and financial capabilities.ABOUT IWC:IWC is an Aboriginal community-controlled and multi-accredited health and wellbeing organisation. We deliver services without discrimination to Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett.FIRST NATIONS PERSONS ARE ENCOURAGED TO IDENTIFY THEIR MOB IN THEIR RESUME OR COVER LETTERKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the development of IWC's long-term strategic goals and objectives to align with IWC's vision.Collaborate with Executive, General Managers and Senior Managers to ensure program level strategies align with IWC's overall strategy.Integrate First Nations cultural values and perspectives into IWC's strategic direction and operational practices.Develop and implement strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization, with a focus on securing and enhancing private enterprise income streams to support sustainability and organisational success.Identify new funding opportunities, grants and partnerships that align with IWC's strategic goals, meet community needs and add value to existing services.Liaise with external stakeholders to strengthen IWC's profile, enhance impact, and build strong relationships that create new opportunities for collaboration and growth.SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:Expertise in conducting thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including board members, senior leaders, and external partners.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make high-level decisions, manage risks, and address complex challenges.High level of confidentiality.KEY REQUIREMENTS:Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education and substantial experience and skills to meet the requirements of this role.A Blue Card (Working with children card QLD) or ability to obtain.Federal police check or ability to obtain.Current Driver's Licence is essential or the ability to obtain.First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.* No Card, No Start legislation means that the successful applicant will need to hold a valid blue card before they start work. IWC will cover the cost of this application for the successful candidate.SALARY PACKAGE:Your Salary Package is made up of the following:Salary Sacrifice Packaging valued up to $15,990 per annum – adding approximately $2,000 to your take-home pay (available after completion of probation).Meals and Entertainment Package up to $2,600 per annum (available after completion of probation).9-Day Fortnight (for full-time staff).Superannuation valued at 11.5%.Annual Leave Loading of 17.5%Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
