Your opportunity To provide high level leadership, strategic direction and advocacy in the management of Medical Imaging Department at the Mackay Base Hospital.To provide high quality, efficient and effective diagnostic imaging in accordance with established hospital and departmental policy and procedures.Ensure strict adherence to Radiation Health policies and procedures, including National and state-wide legislative requirements in the capacity of Radiation Safety Officer at Mackay Base Hospital.Apply high level clinical knowledge to challenge existing protocols and advocating authoritatively for Medical Imaging on a District and State-wide basis in the development of new policy including changed practice. About the Team Our Medical Imaging Department delivers a range of services including, General Radiography (CR) and (DR), Computed Tomography (CT) (Dual Source), Ultrasound, Theatre II, Interventional Fluoroscopy, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
