About the role: Join our fantastic team of Registered Nurses in the Cardiac CATH LAB! Located in the heart of Sydney's CBD, our state-of-the-art cardiac centre sees over 10,000 patients annually.
A great opportunity exists in the Interventional Cardiology Service department for a highly motivated radiographer with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive Interventional Cardiology team. St Vincent's Hospital is a major tertiary referral centre and has 3 Cardiac Catheter Labs, 1 Electrophysiology Lab and 1 Endocardial Biopsy/ Right Heart Catheterization for interventional cardiac procedures such as insertion of stents, cardiac devices and structural heart procedures. Our dynamic and innovative team offers development opportunities for all staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care.
To be successful, you will be expected to work within the Interventional Cardiology department comprising of Cardiac Catheter, Electrophysiology Laboratories and Right Heart Catheterization/ Endocardial Biopsy which is part of Interventional Services. Our team leads the way in interventional procedures; percutaneous valve replacement (TAVI, Mitral and Tricuspid), left atrial appendage closure, Paravalvular leak closure, PFO, ASD closure, AF ablation, cardiac resynchronization therapy. As the sole Heart Lung Transplant centre in NSW, we also carry out procedures involving specialized mechanical support devices that are not available at other centres. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to work a Monday to Friday rotating roster, on-call overnights and weekends.

Selection Criteria: Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.Completed Bachelor of Science Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent, with Current AHPRA Registration, current New South Wales EPA Radiation License.Demonstrated project management skills, ability to prioritise and display strong time management skills between competing demands and delivering outstanding results within tight timeframes.Demonstrated experience in participating in accreditation procedures ensuring standards are met and in establishing clinical protocols, clinical reviews, manuals, quality assurance and departmental continuous quality improvement activities and ability to uphold quality clinical service.Strong background in radiation safety and legislation including experience working with the EPA, ensuring all medical staff have appropriate licences and other multidisciplinary staff are educated and follow radiation safety protocols.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to negotiate and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Proven aptitude in complex problem solving and decision making with an ability to lead, motivate and inspire staff to achieve organisational outcomes, with considerations to high level communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the complex clinical procedures performed across the Interventional Cardiology service and Interventional Vascular Radiology, with pre and post-procedural care of the patient.Shortlisting for this position will commence immediately.
