Our products are distributed across Australia, to major food retailers as well as international exports.  The Position This full time role is based at our Milne Feeds site in Welshpool where we manufacture innovative and high quality, animal feed products. This is a newly created leadership role to lead a team in the continuous improvement of our existing Quality Management System and develop and refine it to support our growth and innovation. This role will suit someone who has had experience in quality leadership and is looking to move to the next stage of growth while working in a team environment that is dynamic and engaging. Key Attributes Commitment to our core values so you can work to crystalise, support and entrench those values in our daily operations Ability to see and focus on issues with a practical and commercial outlook A developed understanding of the nuances and dynamics at play in complex manufacturing environments and a proven commitment to championing precision and consensus in the same A background and ability to working effectively with experienced operators to deliver quality product and work with research and development teams to support innovation Ability to thrive in a rapid growth environment and be across many parts of production: your responsibility stretches across all parts of the supply chain for the site (including export product) A boots on the ground type of leader with the mobility to work with, and communicate with, our CEO and the senior executive team in high-level communications including, potentially, strategic initiatives, as well as the ability to engage and dive into the detail day to day on site Responsibilities Include Leading the Quality team in the provision of quality services to the internal stakeholders (operations, production, nutrition, research and development teams) Conduct and support our current quality systems, lead continuous improvement and development of our compliance frameworks including leading the team in maintenance of quality documentation, audits (internal and external) and other compliance related activities Work with the team to capture data, identify trends, report, develop and drive site-based improvement initiatives Lead the ongoing conduct of the site non-conforming (NCR) program - you will be the person responsible for the management of relationships within the non-conformance program (internal and external stakeholders) Prepare and deliver regular reporting to the CEO and Group Chief of Quality on the performance of site quality metrics and corrective and preventative actions Work to support operations in the provision of a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly working environment Support operations to prepare for and resolve findings from internal and external audits What We Need Bachelor Degree or equivalent required Minimum 5 years experience Experience in FMCG, milling, grain or agriculture will be highly regarded Knowledge, Skills & Experience Knowledge of requirements of Legislation and related Regulations which impact on manufacturing operations (including export) in Western Australia Strong knowledge in the conduct, implementation, improvement and audit of QSE Management Systems and ongoing continuous improvement in same Excellent verbal and written analytical, organisational and communication skills Proficiency in use of Microsoft 365 platform and associated tools Strong working knowledge of Compliance including Quality Control and Assurance principles in manufacturing If you enjoy a fast paced environment, have excellent logical and direct interpersonal communication skills, if you know that amongst your best qualities you have attention to detail, an ability to motivate and lead change, we would really like to hear from you.
