About the Role The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO.
This dynamic position is responsible for overseeing and optimising all aspects of supply and demand planning, logistics, and the strategic management of 3PL facilities.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong strategic vision, operational excellence, and a relentless focus on achieving business goals while driving organisational efficiencies.
What You'll Do Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's overall vision and growth objectivesCollaborate with the CEO and other executives to establish long-term goals and strategic initiativesDrive continuous improvement and innovation across all operational functionsSupply and Demand Planning:Oversee supply and demand planning processes to ensure alignment with market demands and inventory optimisationMonitor and improve forecasting accuracy to reduce costs and enhance customer satisfactionCollaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align supply chain activities with business needsSource and implement technology solutions to enhance planning accuracy and efficiencyWork closely with suppliers to ensure the efficient execution of the monthly production order cycleLogistics and 3PL Management:Oversee the logistics function, including transportation, warehousing, and distributionManage relationships with 3PL providers, ensuring performance aligns with service level agreementsOptimise logistics processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectivenessSource new logistics partners and assess their suitability to meet evolving business needsTeam Leadership and Development:Model critical behaviours of integrated leadership across functionsBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations teamFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellenceSet clear objectives and performance metrics for operational teamsFinancial Management:Prepare and manage budgets for all operational functionsMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive cost savings and operational efficienciesAnalyse financial reports to inform decision-making and identify improvement opportunitiesRisk Management and Compliance:Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuityEnsure compliance with industry regulations and standards across all operationsImplement robust quality assurance and control measuresSource external expertise when necessary to address compliance challenges effectivelyWhat You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role, preferably within logistics, and/or supply chainStrong track record of driving operational excellence and achieving business goalsDemonstrated ability to manage 3PL relationships and optimise logistics operationsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities, with experience leading diverse teamsWhat Success Looks Like Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term operational strategiesOperational Excellence: Commitment to continuous improvement and efficiencyLeadership: Proven ability to inspire and lead teams towards achieving ambitious goalsCommunication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersResilience: Ability to manage complexity and navigate challenges under pressureWhat it's like to work at Quad Lock At Quad Lock our customers mean the world to us but so does our team, by joining us you'll be able to take advantage of the amazing perks we have on offer:
