Role Opportunity
An experienced and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of its growing portfolio of mining and resource assets. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will drive operational excellence, implement strategic growth initiatives, and champion a safety-first culture across all operations.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
We're looking for an accomplished mining executive with:
Proven Leadership: 15+ years of progressive experience in mining operations, including leadership roles overseeing multiple sites or commodities.Strategic Vision: A track record of managing complex operations, delivering growth, and achieving long-term objectives.Technical Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).Operational Excellence: Strong knowledge of mining processes, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.Financial Acumen: Experience managing operational budgets, optimising costs, and delivering strong financial results.Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.Innovative Mindset: A passion for integrating new technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of mining operations, including processing plants, logistics, and associated infrastructure.Drive operational efficiency, production optimisation, and cost control while maintaining quality and safety standards.Collaborate with the CEO and Board to execute strategic growth plans, including expansions, acquisitions, and joint ventures.Champion sustainability and ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and community requirements.Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, indigenous groups, and local communities.Lead and mentor high-performing operational teams, promoting diversity, inclusion, and innovation. Our Client is a highly successful and ambitious ASX listed junior mining company operating a high grade, high margin iron ore mine in Western Australia's Mid-West.
