RFF is a small but dynamic business with significant opportunities for further growth. We are seeking a motivated, flexible, and adaptable Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our Executive Management Team. This is not your typical COO position. We're looking for someone who is ready to think outside the box, fast-track their career, and use their skills to help us achieve success.
In this role, you will oversee critical operations and processes while contributing to the growth and success of RFF. You will be integral to driving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance, and supporting business development across diverse and impactful projects in Western Australia. Based in our Northbridge Office, this role includes regular travel to our Karratha office for one week per month.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership : Ensure compliance with company processes, including project startups, risk management, and supplier performance oversight. Strategic Oversight : Lead continuous improvement initiatives, implement process enhancements, and align operations with organisational goals. Team Leadership : Mentor and support staff, fostering professional development and maintaining a high-performing team. Client and Stakeholder Excellence : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals. Business Development : Support strategic initiatives, contribute to tender and proposal reviews, and develop opportunities for organisational growth. Financial and Resource Management : Oversee resource planning, cashflow monitoring, and alignment with financial targets. About You
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated leader with the following attributes:
10+ years of experience in operations, leadership, or finance, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and processes. Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Development Management, or a related field. Extensive experience in ISO compliance and operational excellence. Strong skills in business development, financial oversight, and strategic planning. Highly organised with exceptional problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite (WorkflowMax and Xero experience is highly regarded). Willingness to travel to Karratha for one week per month. Highly Regarded Skills MBA or other advanced leadership qualifications. Familiarity with financial modelling and resource allocation.
