CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER - VETERAN HEALTHCARE!A phenomenal opportunity to join a Veteran focused healthcare organisation, dedicated to delivering comprehensive assessments to support DVA claims.With a primary team of social workers, Nurses and GPs, my client provides a holistic approach with Coordinated Veteran Care Plans servicing the veteran community and creating the conduit to all eligible services within their ecosystem of veteran health care.With a mission to provide services to the wider Australian veteran community and continuity of care for all their health care needs, the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) will play a crucial role in the strategic and operational leadership of the business. The COO will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services with a particular focus on Social Work services, Client Service teams, Marketing, Software Developers and Nursing teams. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage cross-functional teams, including nursing, social work, and medical staff, while working closely with the General Manager of Social Work, General Manager of Care Plans, Lead Developer, Client Service Manager and Clinical Head of Social Work to improve client outcomes and support the direction of the business.Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and quality of care. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute operational strategies and processes to align with the company's mission and goals. Collaborate with the executive team to set performance goals and objectives. Lead initiatives to improve services, company direction, enhance retention and improve patient outcomes.Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to teams. Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment. Oversee the professional development and performance management of team members.Quality and Performance Improvement: Develop and implement quality assurance processes to enhance patient retention. Support the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies. Represent the company in public engagements. Promote the company's mission and values within the community.Technology and Innovation: Leverage technology to enhance telehealth services and operational efficiency. Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to drive continuous improvement. Work with the developer teams to implement new technologies and processes to improve patient care and operational performance.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure the continuity and reliability of services. Develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within the healthcare industry.Strong operational understanding of primary health care models, telehealth and management of multidisciplinary teams.Demonstrated ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Strong financial acumen and experience in budget/forecast management.Ability to think strategically and execute effectively on scheduled timelines.
