You will be flexible and agile to achieve organisational objectives in an environment of ongoing change.As part of the Executive Leadership team reporting directly to the Commissioner, the COO is responsible for building critical enabling corporate services and specialist support to enable our people to deliver maximum impact to the criminal environment.The key duties of the position include:Contributing to the strategic direction of the AFP, leading corporate functions and the efficient delivery of business services, and advise the Commissioner on organisational resource management;Delivering systemic change and process improvements across the AFP;Actively pursuing opportunities for cooperation, strategic alliances, and information sharing with Commonwealth, State and Territory agencies with relevant policy and operational responsibilities, and with the private sector where appropriate;Maintaining and enhancing a professional culture based on the AFP's core values, that ensures high levels of community confidence in the integrity, effectiveness and accountability of the AFP and its members;Building and maintaining relationships with multiple senior stakeholders including the Deputy Commissioners and key external stakeholders;Developing and enhancing strategies in accordance with national programs and priorities, including strategic operational leadership, conceptual development, continuous improvement and quality assurance, resource management and people development.Minimum RequirementsMust be an Australian Citizen.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field will be favourably regarded.Strong financial management experience and substantial experience in leading major organisational transformation at the most senior level with Commonwealth or state and territory agencies.Positive Vetting (PV) security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).Contact Officer:
