The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing production KPIs, delivery timeliness, costs, quality, safety, and environmental objectives as well as leading a culture of safety underpinned by an industry leading, high-performing workforce.

Your role will include but not be limited to the following: Contribute to overall company strategy development and policy making.Take responsibility for the operational P & L performance of the business.Provide strong leadership and promote the development of a high performing team.Maintain and enforce procedural and policy compliance.Provide detailed reporting and forecasting on performance across the business.Actively promote the company's growth and new business opportunities.Implement operational improvements and strategies to meet long-term objectives.Oversee cost control on contracts and projects undertaken by the company.Ensure appropriate risk management policies and guidelines are in place and that they fully comply with organisational, business and regulatory requirements.Manage relationships, contracts, compliance and interface issues with the clients, suppliers and assurance providers.Contribute to continuous improvement of QHSE Management System.Benefits and perksWork on blue-chip defence, marine and resources projectsCompany car and fuel cardBrand new facilitiesExcellent family business cultureLong-running industry leading organisation offering security and longevityTremendous growth potential within a rapidly expanding high quality business.Skills and experienceYou will possess the following qualifications / practical experience: Tertiary qualifications in an engineering field and significant experience in a manufacturing environment.Minimum of 10 years proven senior management experience with the demonstrated ability to improve business results across all key metrics/KPI's.Project Management background – Understand projects from inception to deliveryExperience in overseeing large project management teams and sub-contractor teams whilst still delivering and cultivating and developing a pipeline of new work.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to develop and manage a high performing team and manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships at all levels of the organisation.Previous experience in an ISO accredited organisation with a demonstrable understanding of the associated requirements.Sound computer literacy, especially in regard to spreadsheets and financial reporting.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Sound ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities, complex problem solving and working under pressure.....as well as the following human and leadership skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.Sound negotiation skills.Extensive P&L experienceUnderstand the mechanics of tendering…project establishment through to delivery.Strong understanding and comfort level in commercial & technical clarification registersConfident in reporting and metric establishment / analysis.Time management, planning, organizational and leadership skills.The ability to prioritise conflicting priorities, demonstrate resilience and work under pressure.Problem solver who takes initiative.Able to deliver practical solutions to complex problems.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.Ability to work with all levels of management.Critical eye for detail and accuracy.Please Note: MUST HAVE full Australian Working rights / PR Please submit your application by clicking the Apply button below attaching your latest resume in MS Word format.
