The Company
Our client is a commercial B2B horticultural business that is leading its industry in production techniques and quality. It is ranked #1 in Australia. With an established production operation to leverage from, and future pipeline of sales, they expect considerable growth in their future. 

Their produce is grown and cultivated to exacting standards with a high level of pride across the business and team. This newly created role of COO is a senior role that operates as 2IC to the Managing Director and works closely with the Executive.

The role has a defined career path for the future. 

The Role
The COO oversees the entire operations, supporting the business growth objectives. A dynamic and hands on environment you will lead the team, generate exceptional quality and high yielding produce, plus manage all matters planning and scheduling, human resource, data analysis, financial management, health and safety, and compliance.

Importantly, once you establish your knowledge, control and understanding as COO, you will transition to greater responsibility for the greater business.

To be successful you will:
have exceptional people leadership skills and an appetite for growth be a critical thinker with a track record of converting innovative ideas into practically applied processes ideally have exposure to intensive horticultural operations  tertiary scientific qualifications have a high level of financial literacy diligently use data and metrics to make decisions and manage operations and drive accountability This is a genuinely unique opportunity. Although well established, the growth trajectory in the short, medium and long term is considerable with locked in future orders. Your role will be to build the capacity of the production to realise those future orders.
