AIMS expert teams at our locations in Townsville, Darwin and Perth have access to world-class infrastructure, unique datasets, cutting-edge laboratories, and a fleet of modern research vessels.The key duties of the position includeThe Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) Chief of Staff / Manager of the CEO Office directly reports to the CEO. The role is responsible for supporting and sustaining the effective operation of the CEO's Senior Leadership Team, ensuring that our activities are properly aligned and managed effectively to ensure the implementation of a newly developed AIMS strategic plan within a multi-level governance framework (individual, team, program, institute, internal and external).You will support the CEO and Directors by working collaboratively and inclusively to ensure robust governance, strategic planning and risk are in place to ensure priorities are delivered on time and to budget consistent with an adaptive and people-centred delivery framework. Working across all programs and sites, this position is the primary coordination point between the CEO and the rest of the organisation, providing high level support to the CEO and Directors in relation to planning, decision making and accountabilities, and working closely with all members of the wider AIMS Leadership Team (ALT) and other senior stakeholders to deliver integration and cohesion of corporate, operational, professional services to enhance delivery of our strategic science initiatives.
