Chief Of Staff

Details of the offer

The Pepperstone story started in 2010. We know what it's like to trade the world's markets. Our team describes us as a place for the curious and the driven, and we like to do things a little differently; as a transformative global fintech we're digital, nimble, connected, and united in our vision to create a better way to trade.
We thrive on progress - for our clients and for ourselves. Our organizational culture is ever-evolving, vibrant, diverse, global and results focused. You'll find our 350+ team currently across 9 locations and time zones.
The Role:
The Chief of Staff role is a brand-new full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of driving strategic initiatives and operational effectiveness at Pepperstone. This exciting role will allow you to make a significant impact on the organization, working directly with the Group CEO and Executive Committee (ExCo) to shape the company's future.
Reporting directly to our Group CEO in Melbourne, you will play a crucial part in fostering collaboration across teams, overseeing key projects that enhance operational processes, and driving communication initiatives that align with our strategic goals. This is a chance to work in a dynamic, global matrix environment where your contributions will directly influence business success.
This position combines strategic insight with hands-on execution, acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO in decision-making and planning processes. Additionally, you will focus on delivering business value by overseeing initiatives that improve company-wide communication.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and the ability to adapt their approach as necessary. Exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence are essential for fostering collaboration and achieving impactful results across teams. This role is pivotal in shaping the future direction of Pepperstone and ensuring alignment at the senior leadership level.
Key Responsibilities:

Drive Pepperstone's strategic planning, annual goal setting, and prioritization, ensuring ongoing alignment with the Group CEO and ExCo.
Collaborate with the Group CEO and ExCo to develop, refine, and implement strategic business plans through the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), facilitating cross-departmental coordination to support overall company objectives and global improvement initiatives.
Organize and present regular, concise reports and data against strategy to ExCo, working with internal subject matter experts.
Support the Group CEO in driving decisions and actions, closely collaborating with the Executive Assistant to the CEO.
Assist in implementing decision-making frameworks that clarify ownership, decision authority, and processes to transition from questions to answers.
Enhance and manage Pepperstone's internal communications strategy with key senior stakeholders.
Drive planning and facilitating company offsites to align the leadership team on company priorities.
Oversee company-wide and commercial process improvements, projects, and initiatives, collaborating across departments and engaging various stakeholders.
Assist ExCo with change management activities as needed for departmental or cross-departmental initiatives.

About You:

Experience in global, fast-paced, and commercial environments, ideally within scale-ups or mid-sized companies, along with a background in similar roles such as commercial project management and commercial Executive Assistant positions.
Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, at pace across time zones (we operate in 9 regions with clients across the globe).
Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present information to varied audiences.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong emotional intelligence.
Highly collaborative, actively seeking and providing feedback and insights, with a strong ability to shift between working in the business and on strategic initiatives.
Proficient in technology, including the Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional planning, organization, and time management skills; able to prioritize effectively and anticipate next steps.
Detail-oriented and flexible, demonstrating a high degree of attention to detail while adapting to changing circumstances.
Willingness to undertake regular short-term overseas travel as needed (approximately 6 times a year).

Current full working rights in Australia.
Why You Will Enjoy Working with Us:

Competitive salary structure including company bonus scheme.
