Summary: The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is responsible for leading the medical team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients. The CMO works closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic plans for the organisation.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement a strategic plan that aligns with the organisation's mission and goals. Develop clinical policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Oversee physician recruitment and training to ensure that the medical staff delivers the best quality care and services. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, organisations, and institutions. Develop and monitor clinical standards and protocols to improve the quality of care and patient outcomes. Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Monitor and analyse healthcare trends and developments to identify new service opportunities and to stay ahead of the competition. Implement and manage clinical and financial performance metrics to ensure delivery of high-quality care that maximises financial performance. Develop and monitor clinical performance standards and metrics to ensure compliance with key performance indicator. Qualifications: Medical Degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Board certification as a medical specialist or sub-specialist. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical leadership role. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Understanding of healthcare regulations, policies, and standards. Experience in managing physician recruitment and retention, clinical operations and quality improvement, and financial management. Ability to develop and implement effective strategic plans that align with organisation objectives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
