We are seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) who is dedicated to enhancing clinical excellence and leading a passionate medical workforce. In this pivotal role, you will provide governance and leadership while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within our Clinical Governance Division.
You will lead a team consisting of FRACMA trainees, DCMOs and Clinical Directors for support and will report to the CEO. The role actively contributes to the Executive Team and regularly attend Board meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire our medical workforce, promoting a culture of excellence in patient care and outcomes.
Create an environment rich in innovation and learning, spearheading medical recruitment and establishing leadership across key clinical specialties.
Build strategic relationships with stakeholders to ensure optimal service delivery and patient outcomes.
Manage complex medico-legal matters and oversee daily operational management in your areas of responsibility.
Act as the Executive sponsor for transformative projects and offer strategic advice to the Chief Executive.
Serve as a role model for values-based leadership, driving positive culture and behaviours throughout the organisation.
Qualifications:
Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA) or actively working towards it.
Familiarity with the unique challenges faced by regional healthcare communities.
Willingness to embrace the enriching lifestyle offered within the Loddon Mallee Health Network (LMHN).

Your New Division
The Clinical Governance Division has a focus on promoting and supporting patient safety and quality of service. It recognises the importance of leadership, culture, patient safety, clinical performance, professionalism and patient care. The Clinical Governance team works collaboratively with other staff to provide high quality clinical governance support and advice, both internally and when supporting our Regional Partner Health Services.
