What you'll be doing The CMIO is responsible for developing and leading the implementation of a strategic vision for clinical information systems, digital and advanced technology for laboratory and forensic services.
This role involves collaborating with NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP) clinicians and other key stakeholders to advocate for improvements in clinical information systems that support patient quality and safety in a manner consistent with state information management visions and strategies.
Selection Criteria Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a specialist in a relevant specialty.Demonstrated experience in working within a public/private health setting including a detailed understanding of the range and diversity of public health care services.Demonstrated ability to build and foster strong and collaborative working relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders including clinical and non-clinical team members.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles and processes of change management and project management and issues involving organisational change.Demonstrated experience and awareness of Digital Health capabilities and the implementation challenges within rural and regional health settings.Demonstrated ability to assist in the management of clinical impacts during natural and other disaster type events including cyber security.Demonstrated consultation, engagement, and professional partnering skills with a range of internal and external stakeholders including subject matter experts.Demonstrated written and oral communication skills with proven experience in translating highly complex technical subjects to a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.Valid unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.All applications must be supported by full responses to the Selection Criteria.
