Interested in an ICT role that is both challenging and meaningful?The APVMA's Business Enabling Services program is seeking applications for a Chief Information Officer to lead the agency's ICT section and develop the agency's technology capability. Located in either Canberra ACT or regional Armidale NSW, you will gain experience in the Australian Public Service, have access to a variety of flexible working arrangements, and play a key role in building and maintaining contemporary ICT services to support the APVMA's important mission.The key duties of the position include The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a strategic, influential, innovative and collaborative leader of a small team of ICT professionals and will be responsible to develop, implement and operate necessary strategies, solutions, policies and procedures that ensure the APVMA's information management and technology capabilities are fully aligned with the prevailing Corporate and Strategic Plans.Key responsibilities of the role will include: ensuring the provision of ICT products and servicesdevelop, implement and maintain the APVMA ICT Strategy and Roadmapensuring appropriate ICT related contractual and service arrangements are in place, consistent with government procurement requirements and protocolscontribute to agency objectives through leadership, participation and membership of the executive leadership teamlead and manage the ICT sections, people, performance and finances
