Expression of Interest Chief Information and Operations Officer Temporary opportunity for 6 months Senior Executive Band 2, with a total remuneration range between $305,860 - $342,014 Based in Sydney CBD About the role The Chief Information and Operations Officer (CIOO) is responsible for leading and overseeing the Department's ICT, cyber security, governance, audit, risk, and workplace services functions.

This executive leadership role is responsible for the Department's ICT, cyber security, and data strategies, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with legislative requirements, government policies, and industry best practices.

In addition to ICT strategy and governance, the CIOO provides strategic leadership and oversight in the management of accommodation and workplace services.
This includes the negotiation, execution, and management of commercial contracts to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.

The CIOO is the Department's Chief Audit Executive and offers expert advice on audit and risk management, enhancing the Department's capabilities in these critical areas.
The role ensures a robust governance framework is in place, effectively connecting and overseeing all governance functions across the Department.

About You You are a strategic thinker with a strong background in ICT, cyber security, workplace services, and governance.
Your leadership skills enable you to manage complex operations and drive continuous improvement.

You have demonstrated executive experience and a proven track record in leading diverse teams and fostering a high-performance culture.

Your proven track record in stakeholder and vendor management, risk assessment, and policy implementation will be key to your success in this role.
