Our Client We have been exclusively retained to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a leading global provider of innovative telematics solutions. The company offers cutting-edge solutions across multiple industries, including government, utilities, transport/logistics, mining, construction, hire, and emergency services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a strategic role in shaping the financial direction of a growing organisation.
The Role This pivotal, hands-on role will be onsite, working closely with the local Managing Director (MD) and the Executive Leadership Team. You will oversee the financial and accounting operations of the business and will be instrumental in driving process improvements, assessing pricing strategies, evaluating new product offerings, and ensuring the timely delivery of financial reports.
Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Leadership - Develop long-term financial plans, assess value creation opportunities, and manage key relationships and stakeholders.Financial Planning and Analysis - Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process across the business to ensure alignment with business objectives, including data-driven decision making and pricing evaluation.Risk Management and Compliance - Ensure the company adheres to applicable laws and regulations and mitigates risk effectively.People Management - Inspire, mentor, and lead the finance team, fostering communication across the organisation.Ad hoc Projects - Take on various projects as required, supporting business needs as they arise.About You: CPA or CA qualifications with a background in assurance highly regarded.Prior experience in a start-up environment, ideally within technology or telecommunications, is highly desirable.Experience in SaaS, recurring revenue models, and inventory management is preferred but not essential.A team player who is transparent, proactive, and eager to make a significant impact.Strong ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial and process challenges.Experience with NetSuite and Fleet AI is highly regarded.Eligibility: Only Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered at this time.
