Key C-Suite position in growing Australian owned and operated companyPeople and culture focussedAbout the role:We are seeking applications for a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team. The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership and ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organisation. This role encompasses overall responsibility for the Finance Function, as well as ICT, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Facilities.If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for financial leadership and a commitment to excellence, we would love to hear from you.The position is primarily responsible for:Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies, advise on financial planning, and provide insights for decision-making.Financial Management: Oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Ensure compliance with regulations.ICT Strategy: Align ICT strategy with business goals and ensure optimal user experience.Procurement and Facilities Management: Lead procurement, optimise supply chain, and manage facilities.Leadership: Build and lead effective teams, foster an inclusive workplace, and drive change.Please note: Interstate and occasional international travel will be required in this role and our preference for location would be Adelaide due to a large number of the team residing there, however, all applications are encouraged and will be considered.What we would like from you:Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as a CFO or similar.Significant exposure to large complex organisations (engineering, professional services, consultancy).Previous experience working with Defence industry is preferred.Proven data-driven decision-making to continually add value to the business and its bottom-line.Extensive experience in financial management, governance, risk, and compliance.Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain, and facilities management.Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and lead cross-functional teams.Exceptional skill in communicating complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing.Effective communication, facilitation, persuasion and influencing skills and ability to negotiate, establish effective relationships/partnerships and diffuse conflict.Executive management capabilities to effectively assess the business environment coupled with a high degree of emotional intelligence to gain the trust and commitment necessary for transformative change.Australian Citizenship with ability to hold and maintain an AGSVA security clearance.As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
