Overview of the Role Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will be crucial in managing the fiscal responsibilities, outcomes and cashflow of this large business embarking on nearly doubling revenue in its next stage of growth.
Deep insight, data analysis and collaboration with the CEO is essential with a focus on the future and the continual improvement needed to influence external and internal stakeholders and driving business growth.
This new role creates an opportunity for a committed and commercially astute CFO to identify areas of opportunity and improvement throughout the business on cost reduction, cashflow management, investment, and acquisition.
This position requires an elevated level of communication, detailed analysis, and management of the business's financial growth and accompanying reporting used as critical numbers for support.
This highly diverse role involves leading a finance team, managing relationships and contracts with banks, external accountants, solicitors and suppliers to understand the governance, regulations and industry cycles of beef production.
Responsibilities: Complete ownership of the financial arm of the business including leading the payroll and finance team.
Compilation and management of annual budgets, P&L's, balance sheet, cashflow and critical numbers pertaining to business specifics and various entities.
Provide advice and counsel to the Managing Director and the Advisory Board in relation to financial performance, budgeting, financial position, reporting and future cash flow requirements.
Prepare annual operating budgets and financial models to support Business Planning, identify business risks and make appropriate decisions regarding mitigation strategies.
Work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement the company's financial strategic plan to support the company's growth.
Liaise with Auditors, the ATO and external advisers including banking, finance and legal partners as required.
Review, develop and improve existing processes, implement new procedures and reporting structures that will create greater transparency and efficiency within the finance functions.

About you: Degree qualification in Accounting and CPA essential.
Experience in an agribusiness production environment highly desirable.
High level skills in MYOB, Excel and MS Office suite.
Extensive experience in a CFO or complex FC management role with a commercial background.

Demonstrated expertise in developing strong financial processes and systems to support a multifaceted business.

Ability to create solid partnerships with all stakeholders.
