The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred.
NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the Finance and Procurement Team in our Perth Office on a permanent basis.
Role:
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Corporate and Business Transformation, this role will lead the finance and procurement function and manage financial, budget and audit processes and related reporting requirements, ensuring effective modelling and forecasting of expenditure and revenue to facilitate planning, resource allocation and management of appropriate fees and levies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist, high level technical advice on financial management and accounting policies to internal and external stakeholders, including NOPSEMA's executive leadership team.
Contribute to the discharge of financial management responsibilities in accordance with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.
Provide strategic leadership and operational management of the high performing finance and procurement team to drive innovation and ensure the delivery and continuous improvement of professional and effective services relating to finance and procurement.
Oversee the accounting, budgeting, procurement and payroll processes.
Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of financial policies, systems, procedures and key internal controls to ensure the efficient allocation and monitoring of financial resources, budgets and forecasts.
Partner with the executive leadership team and senior leaders to continuously develop, maintain and implement financial strategies, initiatives and programs to meet current and future strategic and operational objectives of NOPSEMA.
