About the Role
An excellent opportunity has become available for a positive-thinking, hard-working person to join the Roshana Group's Head Office as the Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic financial leadership, offering high-level advice and ensuring the alignment of finance activities with the overarching strategy of the Care Group. This role is pivotal in shaping the company's financial direction, encompassing the development of business plans and operating budgets, oversight of key projects and programs, and comprehensive management of accounting and financial analysis. The CFO ensures robust statutory accounting and auditing processes, efficient financial transactions, stringent financial controls, compliance and governance to regulations in consultation with the CEO and Co-CEO.
As an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO supports the CEO in delivering the strategic goals, values, and direction of the Care Group.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure timely and efficient financial transactions for the Care Group.
Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the efficiency and control of financial transaction processing.
Liaise with external partners to ensure prudent management of the Care Group's investments in partnership with the CEO.
Oversee the timely preparation and lodgement of statutory returns and accounts.
Ensure the implementation of effective and prudent financial and risk management practices.
Business Planning and Financial Reporting:
Actively contribute to the formulation and execution of organisational strategy, including leading significant organisational projects and programs.
Lead business and operational planning across the Care Group, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy.
Translate business plans into credible operating budgets, ensuring optimal use of financial resources and monitoring financial outcomes against these budgets.
Develop financial analysis and reporting tools to support organisational decision-making, performance monitoring, and reporting.
Implement a comprehensive budget planning process, including forecasting, KPI planning, and reporting.
Provide expert advice to the CEO, the Board, and Department Heads including the preparation of management and Board reports.
Facilities Management:
Oversee the management of facilities leased and owned by the Care Group, developing and delivering strategies to maximise resource utilisation.
Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the physical office environment.
Budgets:
Prepare and develop annual and multi-year departmental budgets.
Meet and manage operational budgets.
Provide regular financial metrics and reports to the Board, Department Heads, and other stakeholders.
Analyse financial and operational reports for departmental activities.
Leadership:
Work with the Executive Leadership Team and Department Heads to build highly engaged cross functional teams. Be part of the strategy formation and actively participate in the delivery of the strategy.
Demonstrating leadership, professionalism and customer focused work ethic including a commitment to the Roshana Care Group vision, purpose, and competencies.
Lead and manage the employment lifecycle (i.e., organizational structure, recruitment & selection, performance management, remuneration and benefits, performance improvement plans and exit strategy).
Develop a motivated and effective workforce through the implementation of effective coaching and mentoring strategies.
Required Skills and Attributes
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Chief Financial Officer or similar in the Aged Care sector.
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; professional qualification such as CFA/CMA/CA/ACCA required.
Experience in Care System or any other similar accounting software.
Process and deadline driven person with a keen eye for detail.
Strong excel skills are essential.
Strong team player who can develop ongoing working relationship.
