Chief Financial Officer, SDN Children's ServicesThe OpportunityLeading a team of operationally experienced senior management professionals, the CFO will provide the business intelligence required to secure SDN's stability and sustainability into the future. With oversight of the finance, IT, risk and property functions, the CFO will identify opportunities and implement strategies aligned with the growth of SDN, best positioning the organisation to navigate external changes whilst ensuring quality and reliable service delivery, learning and care outcomes for young children and families. Key areas of responsibility include:Providing expert financial advice, analysis and projections to the CEO, Executive leadership and Board on all strategic and operational aspects of financial management.Partnering with the Executive leadership to align strategies with the overall organisational strategy and operational plans.Developing and executing financial, property and IT agendas to support SDN's strategic goals.Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risks aligned with SDN's risk appetite.Modelling, championing, and embedding SDN's values and culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and interdisciplinary working.About YouWe are seeking a commercially astute executive leader that can speak with confidence to fostering high-performance and multidisciplinary collaboration across a comparable function, energised by the opportunity to partner with the CEO and Board in defining this next phase for SDN Children's Services. The successful candidate will:Bring strong business acumen and experience in financial management, including strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting. Exposure to strategic property management will be highly regarded.Demonstrate outstanding people leadership, with a track record of encouraging continuous improvement and fostering cross-functional working.Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly and effectively.Have the advanced interpersonal skills and political nous required to build strategic relationships with key external partners including government, non-government and statutory agencies.Hold tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
