With seven offices throughout Australia our team work on projects that transform and improve the lives of Australians every day.The Opportunity:Play a key role in pitt&sherry's transformation and growth strategyProvide analysis and recommendations to help shape business decisionsDrive the direction and implementation of the business planning process including financial, operational and people targets in collaboration with the Executive team.Identify, diagnose, and drive improvements to the way financial information is captured and reported back to the Executive, CEO and Board.Contribute to the business achieving monthly operating budgets, profitability, invoicing and cash collections targets.Ensure project profitability is maintained at desired levels.Establish and monitor a robust cashflow & treasury function to ensure sustainable business planning.Accountability for financing and banking relationships ensuring compliance with compliance and governance requirements.Monitor financial performance and drive desired outcomes through rigorous processes including invoicing and debtor management in addition to cost control measures across the business.Drive commercial acumen capability across the business.Continue to develop strong analytics capability to support client, project, and operational activity.In addition to Finance, the CFO has accountability for Legal, Risk, Compliance and ProcurementWhat you bring:A strong people leader with prior experience as a CFO or held senior level finance roles and looking to step upTertiary Qualified - CA or CPA preferredProfessional Services experience preferably within engineering but open to other relevant industriesDemonstrated leadership experience with a strong strategic mindsetExperience in aligning strategies with business objectives to ensure business success and growthExtensive experience in managing all day-to-day operations of a finance function: statutory group reporting, management reporting, treasury and tax, cashflow & banking, AP, audits and payrollA team player and natural collaborator with a high level of integrityValues driven leader with a strong desire to play a key role in shaping the organisation's cultureExperience in employee owned business preferred but not essentialWhy join us:Join us during an exciting time of transformation and help drive our growth strategyWe're advocates for flexible working practices, most of our team split their time between working from home and the office.
