TasBuild Limited is responsible for the administration of the Construction Industry (Long Service) Act 1997, providing portable long service entitlements for workers in the construction industry.An exciting new position has become available for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join our small team in the role of Chief Financial Officer on a Part Time basis (0.8 FTE).About the roleAs the Chief Financial Officer at TasBuild Limited, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's financial strategy and ensuring its long-term financial stability. This position, based in Hobart, will see you overseeing all aspects of the company's finance function, from budgeting and forecasting to financial reporting and compliance.What you'll be doingDeveloping and implementing the company's financial strategy to support its overall business objectivesProviding financial leadership and strategic advice to the CEO and BoardOverseeing the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecastsProviding other financial accounting services, including the management of payrollEnsuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standardsIn conjunction with the CEO, manage all aspects of TasBuild's investments and financial management, within broad parametersAnalysing financial data to identify risks and opportunities, and making recommendations for improvementLeading the company's compliance and finance teamsCollaborating with other members of the team to ensure the financial impact of business decisions is understoodWhat we're looking forSignificant experience (5+ years) as a senior financial leader, preferably within the accounting or financial services industryTertiary qualifications in finance or accounting, including CA/CPA or equivalent certificationProven track record of driving financial strategy and delivering strong financial performanceExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial dataIn-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practicesStrong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholdersWhat we offerAt TasBuild Limited, we are committed to creating a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
