About the role NAAJA is looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team and oversee financial and risk management operations.
This role is ideal for a strategic leader who can blend vision with operational excellence, ensuring financial sustainability while aligning with the organisation's strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities Oversee the preparation of financial reports and manage budgeting and auditing processes.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and implement internal control frameworks.
Collaborate with the CEO and executive team on financial planning and risk management.
Provide strategic financial advice and develop performance monitoring systems.
Implement efficient financial management systems and effectively lead the finance team.
Prepare monthly reports for the directors and management.
Selection criteria Qualifications in accounting or business administration; CA/CPA qualified.
Proven leadership and financial management experience.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Professional written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal people in a culturally respectful way.
Postgraduate qualifications in a related field.
Experience in the not-for-profit sector.
Requirements Right to work in Australia with no restrictions.
Satisfactory national criminal history check.
Ability to obtain a working with children clearance (Ochre Card).
