With multiple business entities operating across 100+ locations Australia-wide and now in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, we offer an extensive range of employment services and programs, vocational training, apprenticeships, mentoring, NDIS, disability employment support, specialist schools and allied health services. The BUSY Group has grown considerably in recent years; therefore, we are seeking to grow our financial team and improve our systems/processes to support our extensive breadth of offerings and locations.
About the role... The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a visionary, a leader of change and prepared to get involved to drive initiatives that progress our finance functions. They will understand our growing and complex organisation and work to establish finance structures, processes and systems to deliver timely and accurate financial services. The CFO will build the capability of the finance team and drive digital transformation to optimise and evolve our processes. The role will develop productive relationships with a broad range of key individuals internal and external to the organisation, ensuring the organisation's financial governance and performance is communicated effectively and in a manner that supports and encourages continuous improvement. This includes the oversight of The BUSY Group's growing global footprint, considering the complexity and locations of our operations to coordinate and consolidate financial performance and compliance from multiple business units in international jurisdictions, including Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The CFO will ensure that all internal and external accountabilities relating to the organisation's finances are met, timely and of a high standard, as well as designing strategies and operational plans for the improvement of budget, performance, forecasting and reporting systems across The BUSY Group.

Degree in accounting or similar financial qualification plus membership of CPA Australia or equivalent professional bodyOutstanding executive level experience in financial management, reporting and controlAustralian and international financial management experience, preferably with NZ and/or the UKInspirational and motivational people leader having driven organisational and cultural change and lead major projectsDigital transformation experience – significant hands-on experience/implementation of financial systems for improved efficienciesExtensive understanding of advanced accounting, performance reporting systems, regulatory and compliance issues, and tax planning in multiple jurisdictionsSkilled in financial analysis, problem solving, assessment and business case developmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a number of projects simultaneously and to tight deadlinesHighly developed interpersonal, relationship building skills and an effective written and verbal communicatorNext steps...
