Reporting to the CEO and Board, you'll take a hands-on approach to lead our finance and treasury functions, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring financial excellence in a fast-paced, innovative environment.We have recently implemented a new ERP, NetSuite, and it is important that the CFO spearheads the optimisation of NetSuite, including developing relevant reporting for stakeholders, driving automation of regular tasks and reports, building systems to monitor performance, and ensuring the company uses NetSuite to its full potential.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management:• Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts including profit and loss balance sheet reports, margin and channel analysis reports• Actively monitor financial performance including channel margins, operational costs, and inventory efficiency• Recommend, implement, and track profit improvement initiatives• Reconciliation of multi-currency bank accountsCash Flow and Treasury:• Ownership of cash flow forecasts and daily cash flow management• Management of inter-entity transactions and reconciliations• Capital raising and debt restructuring opportunitiesCompliance and Reporting:• Preparation of annual budgets• Work with external accountants to provide all relevant information for statutory accounts and relevant grants promptly post year end• Preparation of monthly BAS requirements• Preparation of covenant reporting to investors• Preparation of compliance reporting to other lendersTeam Leadership:• Management of the internal finance team (2 direct reports in Australia, 1 in the USA)• Guide and monitor the finance team's weekly/monthly/quarterly priorities and objectives• Be the subject matter expert on all things NetSuite to be able to answer questions and proactively lead the team to implement NetSuite best practicesStrategic and Operational Contribution:• Implement relevant reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including detailed monthly financial reporting to the Board• Close collaboration with Operations and Sales department heads to improve internal processes and ensure alignment with financial targets• Continuously reviewing and improving financial systems and processesIdeal CandidateCPA/CA qualified with 10+ years of experience as a Financial Controller or CFOHigh commercial understanding and hands-on experienceExtremely detail-oriented but can also see the big pictureStrong experience in cashflow management and profit improvement initiativesProven experience in optimising the use of a new ERP including all reporting and improving internal processesExperience in multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional business and tax environments (AU, US, UK preferred)Background in manufacturing, production, or supply chain industries is advantageousExperience in managing debt facilities, and covenant reportingHigh-energy, strategic leader who leads by example and thrives in high-growth, transactional environmentsProven ability to manage and grow small global teamsIf you're ready to join a team that's passionate, driven, and ready to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.Whilst not absolutely necessary, a cover letter outlining what you can bring to our company and why you'd love to work with us always goes a long way.How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a chief financial officer?Which of the following accounting packages are you experienced with?What's your expected annual base salary?How many years of accounting experience do you have?Have you completed a certified practising accountant (CPA) qualification?Do you have experience completing Business Activity Statements (BAS)?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Have you completed a chartered accountant (CA) qualification?
